Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world, both in terms of area, as well as population. It is a rapidly growing economy and one of the most visited counties in South and Latin America. It has a wide diversity in its flora and fauna due to its location that ranges from six degrees north to 34 degrees south. For travelers who visit this stunning country, there is a gamut of options that include sunny beaches, semiarid deserts, hills and mountains. Brazil has traditionally been known as the cosmetic surgery hub, but is now being considered for other medical procedures, and as a major healthcare and recuperation destination. Hospitals and health care facilities here are accredited, by both the Joint Commission International (JCI) and national authorities, for medical services that are comparable to international standards. The doctors and medical professionals are well qualified and many of them have international education and training experiences. 

Brazil being a South American country, with a coastline along the Atlantic Ocean, is highly accessible by road, rail, sea and air. This has led to a great influx of medical tourists, who seek specialized treatment, at lower costs, as compared to their native countries. There can be nothing better than lazing on the warm beaches in Brazil to recuperate and rejuvenate after particularly stressful treatments.
